Agamali said the parties addressed the Turkish parliamentary parties last December concerning over the Armenian-Turkish rapprochement and today they discussed this issue again. “We intended in that time to express our concern over the Turkish-Armenian rapprochement, to make these issues clear and to know positions of our colleagues in the Turkish parliament. We aimed to prevent any project contradicted to the national interests of Azerbaijan and Turkey. We monitored the developments over the past period and concluded that Turkish authorities are going to refuse the basic principles of the country, to open borders with Armenia before the liberation of occupied Azerbaijani lands and to establish relations with that country. They are making very intensive steps toward this. Today we discussed this issue again and decided to invite our Turkish colleagues to attend the conference on Azerbaijani-Turkish relations in Baku in April”.

Agamali said they expected to adopt a document at this conference.

He didn’t rule out the visit of Azerbaijani parliamentarians to Turkey concerning the Armenian-Turkish relations.
