Pentagon sent 4.86 mln dollars military-technical aid to Azerbaijan last year

Baku. Rashad Suleymanov–APA. US Department of Defense issued a report on technical and military aid to foreign countries in 2007. The United States sent totally 11.9 billion dollars military aid to foreign countries, including post-soviet countries except Russia and Belarus, last year, APA quotes Washington Profile.
The Pentagon spent 10.1 mln dollars for Ukraine (ammunitions, service parts, exercises and trainings), 570 thousand for Moldova (communication supplies), 3.1 mln for Armenia (mostly service parts of military techniques), 4.86 mln fro Azerbaijan (communication means and trainings), 25.1 mln for Georgia (ammunitions, communication means, aviation equipments, exercises and trainings).
Kazakhstan received aid at the cost of 5.3 mln dollars, Kyrgyzstan – 5.7 mln, Tajikistan – 128 thousand, Turkmenistan – 85 thousand, Uzbekistan – 8.2 mln, Latvia – 3.3 mln, Lithuania – 23.4 mln and Estonia – 4.2 mln.
Generally US sent warships, military equipments, communication and radar systems, missiles, service parts for the military techniques to the post-soviet countries and assisted in training of personnel.
