Baku. Lachin Sultanova–APA. Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmar Mammadyarov received newly appointed ambassador of Arab Republic of Egypt to Azerbaijan Sabir Mansur. Press Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told APA the ambassador submitted copy of his credentials to the minister. The ambassador said he was pleased with his appointment to Azerbaijan, which has similar culture, traditions and historical roots with Egypt.
Then the sides exchanged opinion about the successful development of economic and political relations between Azerbaijan and Egypt. The new ambassador said his country always supported Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity and he would put all efforts toward the development of bilateral relations.
Mammadyarov, in his turn, said Azerbaijan was also ready to make its contribution to this productive cooperation.
