Azerbaijani, Peruvian foreign ministers meet in Lima

Press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told APA that Roncagliolo welcomed Mammadyarov and said his country was interested in the cooperation with Azerbaijan as a dynamically developing country of the Caucasus. Calling Azerbaijan as the gates of the Caucasus, the Peruvian minister emphasized the importance of contractual basis for broadening of bilateral relations.

Mammadyarov informed his counterpart about the meetings he held within his Latin American trip. He said Azerbaijan was interested in the development of cooperation with all regional countries, including Peru. He asked to deliver the letter of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to his Peruvian counterpart Ollanta Humala. Mammadyarov pointed out that the development of political relations between the countries will create good basis for the economic cooperation. He stressed the importance of mutual visits, business forums and cultural events in this sphere.

Mammadyarov informed his counterpart in details about the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict and the negotiations toward the solution of this problem. He invited Roncagliolo to visit Azerbaijan. Peruvian minister accepted the invitation with pleasure.
