Azerbaijan and Argentina sign agreement on cooperation in economic-trade sphere - <font color=red>PHOTO</font>

Baku â€“ APA. Azerbaijani Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmar Mammadyarov met with Foreign Minister of Argentina HÃ©ctor Timerman. The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told APA that it was underlined at the meeting that the opening of embassies in the two countries, mutual visits over last periods, strengthening of political dialogue between the sides, as well as holding of business forums created wide opportunities for extension of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Argentina.

The Ministers exchanged view about the issues in the agenda of regional and international arena, including the settlement of Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict, the themes of cooperation within the international organizations and also discussed extension of the relations in economic-trade, capital, scientific and technologies spheres, especially opportunities of implementation of joint projects in energy, agriculture, agrobusiness, pharmaceutics, ICT, infrastructure and construction sectors.

The sides underlined the importance of signing of documents between the two countries about the cooperation in spheres of extension of legal base, especially mutual protection of investments, elimination of double taxation, technical cooperation, education, culture, tourism, communication and technologies and justice spheres.

The Azerbaijani and Argentinean foreign ministers signed agreement â€œOn cooperation between the Government of Azerbaijan and Government of Argentina in economic-trade sphereâ€ at the end of the meeting.

Following the signing ceremony the Ministers held a joint meeting. Each both Ministers underlined the importance of this visit and discussions from standpoint of extension of cooperation between the two countries and said that the intergovernmental economic commission, which will be established on a basis of the agreement, will be significant for the development of cooperation between the countries in economic sphere.
