Uzbekistanâ€™s Ambassador: â€œThe main term of settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict is the observance of territorial integrity of Azerbaijanâ€

Azerbaijan is gradually strengthening its position in the regionâ€, said Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Azerbaijan Sherzod Fayziyev, APA reports. He said that the relations between two states have more dynamic character in recent years: â€œOur relations are based on mutual historical roots, language, culture and traditionsâ€.

Ambassador declared that Uzbekistan stands for political and peaceful settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict: â€œWe consider that the main term of conflictâ€™s settlement is the observance of the territorial integrity of Azerbaijanâ€.

Fayziyev said Uzbekistan was also interested in developing trade relations with Azerbaijan, especially as a transit country. He mentioned that as a result of these relations Azerbaijan will provide Uzbekistan with access to seaports of the Black and Mediterranean seas, and Uzbekistan will provide Azerbaijan with the access to China and Southeast Asia.
