Radoslav Sikorsky: “Complete abolishment of visa regime is possible for Azerbaijan in prospect” - <font color=red>PHOTOSESSION</font>

Baku. Victoria Dementieva – APA. Azerbaijani Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmar Mammadyarov has today met with Polish Foreign Minister Radoslav Sikorsky, who is on a visit to Azerbaijan. APA reports that the both ministers held a joint briefing after the meeting. Elmar Mammadyarov said that they discussed the development prospects of bilateral cooperation, energy, gas and oil, the Nagorno Karabakh conflict and visa facilitation for the owners of service passport. The Foreign Minister underlined that the cooperation between Azerbaijan and Poland is at the highest level.

In his turn, Polish Foreign Minister Radoslav Sikorsky recalled that his country is one of the initiators of the “Eastern Partnership” program. According to him, liberalization of the visa regime is considered within this program and complete abolishment of visa regime is possible for Azerbaijan in prospect.

“Poland is ready to assist Azerbaijan for increasing the effectiveness of the Border Service’s work. Our country’s “Frontex” agency can support the conduction of border monitoring and holding trainings for employees of the State Border Service of Azerbaijan.”

The minister noted that the development of energy cooperation between the two countries was also discussed during the meeting. He said that Poland is interested in the diversification of transportation of energy resources.
