Iranian Minister of Education presents Mahmoud Ahmadinejadâ€™s invitation letter to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev

Press service of the Iranian embassy in Azerbaijan told APA that Gadzhibabai presented the invitation letter sent by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev due to participation in the summit of head of states of Non-Aligned Movement member countries.

He conveyed Ahmadinejadâ€™s greetings to the Azerbaijani President and noted the historical and cultural closeness between the two countries. He also underlined the importance of relations in all spheres and considered advantageous the comprehensive relations in terms of the interests of independent countries and regional countries, including the interests of Iran and Azerbaijan. The minister underlined that the cooperation and mutual integration of the regional countries, independent and Muslim states were directed to the development of global relations, as well as common peace and welfare.

In his turn, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev expressed his satisfaction with Gadzhibabaiâ€™s visit to Baku, sent his greetings to his Iranian counterpart and underlined the development of the relations.

Stressing the importance of the summit of Non-Aligned Movement, the Head of State considered significant to participate in this summit and expressed his confidence that he would meet with Ahmadinejad in the near future.
