Delegation from Mexican Senate holds meeting in Azerbaijani Parliament

Baku. Rashad Suleymanov â€“ APA. A group MPs of the Azerbaijani Parliament met with the delegation led by vice-speaker of the Mexican Senate Francisco Arroyo Vieyra, who is on a visit to Baku, spokesman for the Azerbaijani Parliament Akif Tavakkuloghlu told APA.

Informing the senators about the activity and structure of the Azerbaijani Parliament, Ulvi Guliyev, head of the working group on inter-parliamentary relations between Azerbaijan-Mexico, said that the relations between the two countries were highly developig. Guliyev said that the visit of Azerbaijanâ€™s friends contribute to the relations between the countries and people. The MP underlined the importance of organizing of the different visits to close the relations between the two countries. He also thanked the senators for the documents on the settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict and Khojaly genocide, which were adopted in the Mexican parliament in November and December, 2011 and its vote in the election of Azerbaijan to non-permanent membership of the UN Security Council.

The members of the Mexican parliament informed about the activity of this countryâ€™s parliament. They also announced their opinions towards extension of cooperation with Azerbaijan.
