Sergei Naryshkin visits Azerbaijani Parliament â€“ <font color=red>PHOTO </font>

APA reports that speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament Ogtay Asadov and the other officials met him.

At first, Asadov and Naryshkin held one-on-one meeting and then the meeting was continued with other officials.

More than 160 documents have been signed between the countries. These documents created steady legal base for detailed development of the documents. Trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Russia was more than USD 2,8 bln last year. Currently more than 500 Russiaâ€™s companies are functioning in Azerbaijan. Book House was established in only Azerbaijan and Russia from the South Caucasus countries.

Speaking about the dynamic development of Azerbaijan and regional projects Asadov said that there are reasons which seriously prevent this development: â€œOne of the main reasons is the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict.â€ Stressing Russiaâ€™s mediator role in the settlement of this conflict Asadov hoped that Russia as the OSCE Minsk Group co-chair and leading country of the region will increase its attempts in the settlement of the conflict and the conflict will be settled fairly within the norms and principles of the international law and territorial integrity of the states.

Naryshkin expressed his gratitude to the President, parliament and people of Azerbaijan for their condolence and humanitarian assistance from Baku due to human losses as a result of floods in Krasnodar.

Naryshkin specially noted the role of the legislative organizations in the detailed development of the relations between the countries. It was noted that the relations between Azerbaijan and Russia reached to the strategic cooperation level: â€œWe must strengthen and develop our relations in the political, economical, humanitarian and the other spheres using from our opportunities.â€

They also exchanged view on the mutual interesting issues at the meeting.
