Kazan hosts opening ceremony of simulative stage of 2nd Global Summit of OIC International Model

The Youth Forum of the Islamic Conference told APA that President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Chairman of the State Committee for Work with Religious organizations and Secretary General of OIC Youth Forum Elshad Iskandarov, Deputy Youth and Sports Minister of Turkey Yusuf Tekin Chief of Tatarstanâ€™s Presidential department on interaction with religious associations Marat Gatin and pro-rector of the International Islamic University of Malaysia Serdar Demirel delivered congratulatory speeches.

President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov noted that he attached a great importance to the cooperation of Tatarstan with the OIC member states, especially participation of these countries in youth forum and said he is ready to participate actively in the ICYFDC projects in the future. Secretary General of the OIC Youth Forum Elshad Iskandarov spoke about the significance of the OIC model and the mission directed to the development of youth in the Muslim countries. He presented the certificate on acceptance of â€œSeletâ€ Youth Movement of Tatarstan to the organizationâ€™s membership of the OIC Youth Forum to chairman of the organization Timur Suleymanov.

About 200 students and youth leaders from 50 member states of the OIC discussed political stabilization in Tunis, Libya and Egypt, usage of nuclear energy and Muslim minorities in the Balkan countries within the simulative games from July 3 till 10. One of the main themes is the situation in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan. Presentation of the â€œJustice for Khojalyâ€ International Information Campaign is expected to be held on July 9 for the participants of the model summit. Final resolutions of the event will be adopted on July 10.
