Baku. Victoria Dementieva – APA. OSCE Secretary General Lamberto Zannier has arrived to Azerbaijan. As L. Zannier stated to APA at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport all relevant issues on OSCE-Azerbaijan cooperation will be discussed during the visit.
Commenting the question ‘OSCE Minsk group operates for 20 years without any results. Recently the EU reiterated that it is ready to play more active role in confidence building measures between the conflict sides. What is the OSCE attitude to that?’ OSCE Secretary General stated: ‘Confidence building measures is always very good’.
L. Zannier stated that he will answer questions more detailed on a press conference after meeting with Azerbaijani FM.
During the visit to Azerbaijan Zannier will be received by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and meet with Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov and Parliament’s Deputy Chairman Ziyafat Asgarov.
After Azerbaijan he will visit Georgia and Armenia.
