Elmar Mammadyarov demands from Iranian ambassador to organize meeting of detained Azerbaijani poets with Azerbaijani consul

Press service of the Foreign Ministry told APA that they exchanged view on bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Iran.

Minister Mammadyarov said that the detainment of two young Azerbaijani poets in Iran concerned the society and reminded that Iran gave short and incomplete responses to the notes sent by the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry to Iran.

The minister demanded the organization of meeting of our detained compatriots with the Azerbaijani consul in accordance with the international legislation, including Vienna Convention and expressed hope that the steps, which will be taken by Iran on this issue, will correspond to the spirit of mutual friendly relations between two neighboring countries.
