He said that the corresponding organizations were continuing negotiations with Iranian government: “The corresponding organizations learn the reason of the arrest of these people by Iran and what it thinks about their destinyâ€.
Iranian Tabnak and Aran websites claimed that the above-mentioned Azerbaijani poets were accused of drug trafficking and spying for Israel. These websites described them as not the poets, but drug traffickers from Russia to Europe: “They confessed that they were spying for Mossad. The indictment against them was sent to Bakuâ€. Azerbaijani Foeign Ministry denied these reports of the Iranian press.
It is considered as the gravest crime in Iran and poets can be sentenced to death.
The above-mentioned poets went missing in Iran two months ago.
