Baku. Ramil Mammadli – APA. The Center for Strategic Studies (SAM) hosts a round table entitled “Azerbaijani and Turkish policy: parallels and differences”.

According to APA, members of the Turkey-based Caspian Strategic Institute Center also attended the event. They exchanged views and discussed a wide range of questions concerning parallels and differences in the Turkish and Azerbaijani interests on the back of processes in the Middle East and South Caucasus.

SAM Director Farhad Mammadov said Turkey was the first international partner of Azerbaijan and relations between the countries reached the level of strategic partnership. “Azerbaijan could level up its investment in Turkey to USD 17 mln and become one of the five largest investors in this country.” Mammadov said Turkey and Azerbaijan should make joint efforts toward the solution of Nagorno Karabakh conflict.

Members of the Caspian Strategic Institute Center Omer Atsiz, Haldun Yavash and Mesut Hakki Cesim also mentioned this issue.
