Military attache of the Embassy event Sechkin Ceylan told about the fighting way which was Caucasian Islamic Army at the ceremony organized at the Cultural Center of the Embassy. It was noted that in the battles that army passed 1130 killed, 1936 injured.

The next speaker, co-chair of the Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group of the Azerbaijan-Turkey Nizami Jafarov called the opening of the Baku bust Nuru Pasha historic event.

He said that the monument represents the unity of Nuru Pasha, Azerbaijani and Turkish peoples.

The event, attended by representatives of civil society, media leaders were also members of parliament and scientists historians.

Addressing the Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Mr. Kilic said that the Caucasian Islamic Army in 1918 had a brotherly aid to Azerbaijan, and thus fulfilled its historic mission.

In an interview with reporters, Ambassador expressed his hope that in future Nuru Pasha bust will be installed in other areas of the Azerbaijani capital.
