Baku hosts conference â€œJoint efforts for the sake of Caucasus: Past 20 years and its lessonsâ€ - <font color=red>PHOTOSESSION</font>

Experts from the South Caucasus countries, including former Armenian presidentâ€™s adviser Jirair Libaridian, as well as political scientists from Turkey are attending the conference.

In his opening speech, Director of the Center for Strategic Studies Farhad Mammadov said Azerbaijan could share its resources and achievements with the region: â€œAzerbaijan wants all three regional countries to reach sustainable development. Therefore it needs to solve the conflictsâ€.
Publisher of Turkish policy Quarterly Kemal Korpulu and editor-in-chief of Caucasus International Zaur Shiriyev also welcomed the guests.

Armenian analyst Jirair Libaridian, president of the Georgian Fund of Strategic and International Studies Alexander Rondeli and member of the Azerbaijani parliament Rasim Musabeyov are attending the panel discussions.

The three persons, who witnessed the achievement of independence by the regional countries, will frankly talk about the events of early 1990s, national identity in regional and global levels, economic re-structuring, goals and strategies of their countries in regional and global scales.

The event will feature discussions on development of economic and political views of three Caucasian countries, prospects for changing current balance and future activities of Russia, the European Union, Turkey and USA in resolutions of the conflicts in the region.
