Meeting with ICAPP delegation held in Azerbaijani Parliament

Baku. Etibar Mammadov â€“ APA. Chairman of Azerbaijani Milli Majlis Ogtay Asadov has received the delegation of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP).

According to press service of Milli Majlis, speaker noted that, Azerbaijan hosted several regional and international events. Therefore, 7th General Assembly of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties, to be held in November, in Baku, will bring contribution to development of this organization.

Asadov noted that, the parties in governments and parliaments in the region could have impacts on state policy: â€œthe if the fact which stipulating the cooperation among them. Thatâ€™s why, we consider acceptable the New Azerbaijan Party to become member of this organization. We think that, one platform among the parties in Asian continent will have positive impact on the processes in the region. This has an exceptional importance in elimination of problems in Asia. We believe that, this organization, with 300 political parties, will bring contribution to eliminate the international problems. Thatâ€™s why, itâ€™s important to pay attention to Nagorno Karabagh problem. Although, UN has 4 declarations and other organizations have decisions, the conflict was not solved, yet. We appreciate the support of ICAPP to Azerbaijanâ€™s right positionâ€.

ICAPP representative Jose de Venecia informed about work and purpose of the forum: â€œwe face hotbed of conflict in Asia continent. From this standpoint, the organization pays attention to Nagorno Karabagh conflict in South Caucasus and supports solution of this conflict under the norms of international law, on the basis of UN Security Councilâ€™s declarations. Forum will support Azerbaijanâ€™s positionâ€.

According to him, appreciates works of president and Parliament in the solution of this conflict. These issues will be reflected in Baku Declaration to be adopted at the end of the event to be held in Baku.

Note that, MP, Deputy Chairman and Executive Secretary of New Azerbaijan Party Ali Ahmedov, MP Asef Hajiyev, Eui Yong CHUNG, Co-Chairman, Standing Committee of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties, representatives of forum Mushahid Huseyn Seyyid, Ai Ping, Teo Sambuaga and other officials attend the meeting.
