The Committee will discuss 12 ambassador nominees during the hearing presided by Senator John Kerry.
Morningstar’s nomination was examined earlier on June 13. The Committee gave 48 hours due to possibility of additional questions to the nominee.
Richard Morningstar has taken the office of the US Secretary of State’s Special Representative for Eurasian Energy since April, 2009. President Barack Obama nominated him to the post of US Ambassador to Azerbaijan in the end of April, 2012.
