Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev makes speech in World Economic Forum, Davos

According to APA, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev also attended the assembly.

President Ilham Aliyev spoke about the historical development way of the country, statehood history based on democratic traditions and noted that first democratic Republic in the East was established in 1918, in Azerbaijan. He also noted that, Azerbaijan restored its independence at the end of 20th century.

Speaking about rich energy resources president noted that, Azerbaijan participated actively in supply of Europe with energy safety and achieved great achievements in this sphere. He also spoke about non-sector of Azerbaijan and noted that, that sphere developed.

Head of state also spoke about the information-communication technology, industrialization and development of other spheres. He noted that, the education was paid attention by the state.

Besides, Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych and Russian VTB Bankâ€™s President Andrei Kostin made speeches at the assembly.

At the end, the participants answered the questions.
