We are continuing our activity for the development of cooperationâ€, said US Chargé d’Affaires in Azerbaijan Adam Sterling, APA reports.
“We are also waiting for the appointment and we hope that it will take place very soonâ€, said the diplomat.
Answering the question about the US response to the proposal of withdrawal of France from the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairmanship, Sterling said: “Both Turkey and France are friendly countries for the US and we will continue deepening relations with these countriesâ€.
Ambassador Matthew Bryza had to leave Azerbaijan after one-year diplomatic mission because the US Senate didn’t approve his appointment. Adam Sterling will take the office of Chargé d’Affaires until the appointment of a new ambassador to Azerbaijan.
