Baku. Victoria Dementieva – APA. There are no Azerbaijani citizens among the dead and injured people in the Damascus explosions. Press officer of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs Elman Abdullayev told APA that the embassy of our country in Syria continues working within normal working schedule and takes regular interest in the conditions of Azerbaijani citizens living in this country.
“The embassy officials regularly meet with our compatriots, take interest in their problems and urge them to be very careful because of instability in the countryâ€.
The consulate of the Azerbaijani embassy in Syria has registered about 60 Azerbaijanis living in this country. The embassy called the Azerbaijani students to avoid coming to Syria for education.
Two terrorist attacks were committed in Damascus on December 23. At least 44 died and 166 were injured.
