Baku – APA. Former Montenegrin president and prime minister Milo Djukanovic visited the old part of Baku, Icheri Sheher. He was welcomed by the chief of administration of the Icheri Sheher State Historical-Architectural Reserve Mikayil Jabbarov. Djukanovic began his tour from visiting the Maiden Tower, as well as Bukhara and Moltany caravanseraes, which are the monuments to Azerbaijan’s broad historic economic and cultural relations with other countries. Milo Djukanovic tasted the piece of Azerbaijani national cuisine – tandir choreyi, bread cooking in the clay oven, at the Kichik Gala Street. Then the Montenegrin guest visited the masterpiece of medieval architecture – Shirvanshahlar Sarayi – the Palace of Shirvan Kings.
The guest also visited Mohammad Mosque and was informed about the museum-conservation work conducted her last year. Then he signed the book of honorary guests of Icheri Sheher.
