Baku. Parvin Abbasov – APA. “We see the French parliament’s discussions of the draft law on “Armenian genocide” from the two angles of aspect”, Chief of Public Policy Department of the Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan Ali Hasanov told journalists, APA reports.

Hasanov said Armenians were insistently trying to force the countries and peoples to accept this fictitious and false claim, which has no real historic ground. “Notwithstanding what country or parliament discusses it, we consider that “Armenian genocide” is a false claim. There was no such event in the history. This is an anti-Turk policy based on Armenian lying and supported by some interested circles. Other issue is the politicizing of such kind of events. The discussion of this issue at the French parliament is the politicizing of the event, which took place or didn’t take place in the history – the event related to the history, bringing it to the political agenda. We consider that these issues must be investigated and discussed by the historians. These issues should be put on agenda only for renewal of the history in the memory of the people. Therefore we are negatively approaching this issue from both angles of aspect”.

Hasanov said adoption of such law in France could effect the France-Turkey relations: “We are at war with Armenia for several years. Armenia occupied the Azerbaijani lands. Armenian leaders have responsibility for horrible crimes like Khojaly. They directly participated in these events. Azerbaijan unambiguously condemns such issues raised by them and supported by someone in the world. We are previously making statements that such events will not give positive coloring to the inter-state relations”.
