Iranian MP: “Azerbaijani lands belong to Iranâ€

Baku. Azer Mustafayev – APA. “If the historic treaties are being reviewed, Azerbaijani territories will have to join Iranâ€, Iranian MP Nader Ghazipur said in his interview with Iranian Fars news agency, APA reports. He said that Azerbaijan still pursues anti-Iranian policy: “If Azerbaijan joins Zionists and participates in the plot against Iranian nation, the Azerbaijan-origin members of the Iranian parliament will present a draft law for reconsidering the Turkmenchay treaty. The Republic of Azerbaijan has achieved its independence several years ago. If we look at the documents, we will see that these lands belong to Iran. We have kept silence for the sake of Muslim people of Azerbaijanâ€, the Iranian MP said.
