The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Shusuke Watanabe and representatives of Ganja Executive Committee participated at the ceremony.
The project aims to improve the quality of medical services of the Trauma Care Unit of Ganja city Urgent Medical Hospital through renovation of the said unit. The total amount of the Japanese Grant Assistance allocated for the aforementioned project is $112,299.
“Grassroots and Human Security Grant Assistance Programme†support projects applied by municipalities, medical institutions, and NGOs, aiming directly at the improvement of living standards of Azerbaijani people. Such projects might be implemented in the field of poverty reduction, social protection, infrastructure, public health and increase of incomes. The total number of projects contracted in Azerbaijan including this time is 149, and the amount is USD 11,289,815.
