Baku. Ramil Mammadli – APA. “The views of several persons can not be regarded as a general criterion. More than 2700 NGOs are functioning in Azerbaijan, but this truth was ignored deliberately. The approach to the elections is also one-sided,” while commenting on the Amnesty International’s report, member of the Slovenian parliament and PACE Monitoring Committee Zmago Jelinčič said in Baku at the meeting of the Joint Working Group for the Implementation of International Human Rights Standards, APA reports.

Noting that the fundamental rights of the Azerbaijani citizens were violated during Nagorno Karabakh conflict, Zmago Jelinčič said the matters concerning the Azerbaijanis, whose rights were violated in the conflict, must have been included into the report. He also touched on Peace and Democracy Institute Director Leyla Yunus’ statement concerning the violation of her rights.
“Abusing her activity in NGO she wants to sell her small office for $1 million. Even in the most expensive streets of New York such a construction is not sold for this price,” he said.
