Mahmud Mammadguliyev said Azerbaijan has wait-and-see position concerning the visa facilitation agreement.
“The relevant project was presented to the Council of the European Union by the European Commission. They consider that talks can be started with Azerbaijan. It is high time the Council consider this issue and pass a decision. Unfortunately, no decision has been passed yet,†he said.
Mahmud Mammadguliyev said the document on visa facilitation can be adopted in the coming months.
“Our partners in Europe consider that the decision can be passed late this year, or early in 2012,†he said.
