Azerbaijani and UK foreign ministers hold meeting

Baku â€“ APA. Azerbaijanâ€™s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov held a number of bilateral meetings within the framework of the 18th Meeting of the OSCE Ministerial Council in Vilnius, Lithuania. Foreign Ministryâ€™s press service told APA that the current state and prospects of the bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and the United Kingdom were discussed during the meeting with the UK Foreign Secretary William Hague.

Economic and energy cooperation, as well as cooperation within the framework of the international organizations and the UN Security Council were discussed during the meeting. The UK Foreign Secretary expressed satisfaction with the package of documents on purchase and sale, transit of gas between Azerbaijan and Turkey.

Elmar Mammadyarov also met with Georgian Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze. The ministers discussed the bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia and prospects of the resolution of the conflicts in the region. Cooperation within the framework of the international organizations and GUAM, energy cooperation were discussed during the meeting.
