Azerbaijani Foreign Minister holds bilateral meetings in Vilnius

Azerbaijani Foreign Ministryâ€™s press service told APA that Elmar Mammadyarov met with EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus Philippe Lefort, Israelâ€™s Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman, Foreign Minister of Finland Erkki Tuomioja, Foreign Minister of Cyprus Erato Kozakou-Marcoullis and US Assistant Secretary Philip Gordon.

The prospects of the bilateral relations and peace talks towards the resolution of Azerbaijan-Armenia conflict were discussed during the meetings. The sides underlined the importance of continuing the negotiations basing on the updated Madrid documents with the participation of the Minsk Group co-chairs. Elmar Mammadyarov once more underlined the importance of starting work on the Comprehensive Peace Agreement.

Tomorrow Elmar Mammadyarov will leave for Brussels. Elmar Mammadyarov will attend the meeting of the Foreign Ministers of ISAF troop contributing nations, make a speech at the Security & Defence Agenda (SDA). Minister plans to hold a number of high-level meetings in Brussels.
