Elmar Mammadyarov meets with his Turkmen, Ukrainian and Portuguese counterparts

Press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told APA that he delivered a speech at the conference and underlined that Azerbaijan was one of the two countries that supported the efforts of the international community towards restoration of peace and tranquility in Afghanistan. Minister noted that several courses were held by ANAMA for Afghanistanâ€™s experts. At the same time, he underlined that Azerbaijan attached importance to the bilateral relations with Afghanistan.

Minister Mammadyarov held several bilateral meetings within his Bonn visit. During his meeting with his Turkmen counterpart Rashid Meredov, they exchanged view on current state and future prospects of bilateral relations. They held discussions towards the broadening of economic and energy cooperation.

He also met with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Konstantin Grishenko. They exchanged view on broadening of bilateral relations especially economic, investment, energy cooperation as well as cooperation within the international organizations. They also discussed the development of GUAM organization.

he also met with Ireland Minister of State for Trade and Development Jan O’Sullivan. They exchanged view on broadening the bilateral relations, cooperation prospects within the international organizations.

Mammadyarov also met with Portugalâ€™s FM Paulo de Sacadura Cabral Portas. Portuguese Minister congratulated his Azerbaijani counterpart on Azerbaijanâ€™s election to the non-permanent membership of the UN Security council and expressed hope in conducting efficient cooperation between the two countries within Security Council.

The Portuguese side underlined the interest in cooperating with Azerbaijan in many spheres, especially agriculture, IT and etc. They noted the importance of mutual visits and necessity of taking the steps towards the strengthening agreement legal base.
