Rovshan Bagirov: â€œDismissals and structural changes to start in Open Society Instituteâ€™s Baku officeâ€

According to him, the dismissals and structural changes will start in the office: â€œMay be it would be better to name it not the dismissal from work, but personnel replacementsâ€.

Bagirov said the reports that the building of Baku Office would be put up for sale were incorrect. He said that the office would continue its activity.

Open Society Institute Assistance Foundation - Azerbaijan issued statement on conclusion of its activity. The statement reads: â€œAfter 15 years of using grants to promote democratic reform and civil society in Azerbaijan, the Open Society Institute Assistance Foundation-Azerbaijan (OSIAF-Azerbaijan) will conclude its grant making activities in 2012 and begin a process of renewing its operations and structure. As the foundation undergoes this transition, the Open Society Foundations, of which OSIAF-Azerbaijan is a part, will continue to provide support from outside the country to efforts to promote open society in Azerbaijanâ€.
