Azerbaijani President congratulates Russian President and Prime Minister on victory in parliamentary elections

APA reports quoting the presidentâ€™s official website that the letter reads: â€œPlease accept my sincere congratulations on the occasion of victory of the United Russia Party, whose party has been led by you, in the election to the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.

Victory in this election has demonstrated the fact that the friendly people of Russia support your policies towards strengthening the statehood and law in the country, modernizing all spheres of society, bolstering the positions and authority of Russia in the global community.

I am convinced that the traditionally friendly and good neighborly relations between Azerbaijan and Russia, our multifaceted cooperation and strategic partnership will continue to grow and develop in the interests of our peoples, peace, security and prosperity in the region.â€

President Aliyev also sent a letter of congratulation to Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the â€œUnited Russiaâ€ Party Vladimir Putin on occasion of victory in the parliamentary elections.
