We see that Azerbaijan took this courseâ€, said Head of the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan Roland Kobia in his speech at the international conference â€œEfficient state management: challenges of the timeâ€.

Kobia said that the anti-corruption and transparency must be the basic objectives of the state. â€œIt refers both Azerbaijan, and the European countries. We see that Azerbaijan succeeds in it. Azerbaijan is a part of the Eastern Europe. It has a good chance to be in Europe. May be, it is seen very difficult. But we â€“ Europe and Azerbaijan can achieve this goal togetherâ€.

Head of the delegation also said that the Eurovision-2012 Song Contest, which will be held in Baku next year, will contribute to Azerbaijanâ€™s recognition in Europe: â€œAzerbaijanâ€™s election as the non-permanent member of the UN Security Council will make Azerbaijan known in Europe. Azerbaijan integrates into Europe step by stepâ€.
