US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to participate in meeting of OSCE Foreign Ministerial Council

APA reports that on the eve of the meeting – on December 5 the Lithuanian capital will host the civil society conference dedicated to the situation in Belarus and roundtable discussion “Making Women’s Voice Heard”.

Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaitė, OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Lithuanian Foreign Minister Audronius Ažubalis, President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Petros Efthymiou, the organization’s Secretary General Lamberto Zannier are expected to deliver a speech in the opening of the meeting of the OSCE member countries’ foreign policy office leaders. The meeting will consist of 3 sessions. US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton, Foreign Minister of Ireland Eamon Gilmore, as well as the foreign ministers of Russia, France, Germany and the other countries will deliver a speech at the first session.

Ireland will take over the chairmanship of the OSCE from Lithuania.

The OSCE “Troika” – Lithuanian, Kazakhstan’s and Irish foreign ministers will hold a press conference on the results of the meeting on December 7.
