Baku. Konul Jafarli – APA. Umid Urmulu, Azerbaijani human rights activist in Iran, launched a new website. APA reports that www.urmiyenews.com website set a goal to release the news of Iran’s Western Azerbaijan province, especially province’s center Urmia city, at the same time the Republic of Azerbaijan, South Azerbaijan, generally Turkic-origin people living in Iran.
Webpage is not related to any organization, will function independently, and try to fill the emptiness in information sphere. At present the website functions in old Azerbaijani Turkic alphabet with Arab graphics.
But the founder of the webpage considers establishing the website’s Azerbaijani, English and Persian versions with Latin alphabet.
