Diplomatic sources told APA that the country’s embassy in Azerbaijan will inform the UK Foreign Office regarding the UK-related issues in Iran.
A group of Iranian students stormed the UK embassy in Tehran, seized some confidential documents, burned the flag and took six as hostages. As a result of the efforts of the Iranian police, the hostages were released.
The UK has started evacuating its diplomats from Iran.
UK Prime Minister David Cameron warned Iran of serious consequences.
