Lankarani said that the Muslims will not allow the realization of insidious plans against Islamic values: “Thank God, his revenge hand appeared in Muslims and sent the villain, who insulted Islam and its Prophet, to the hell. The murderer, who killed him, gladdened Muslims and will receive great gift near God because he fulfilled an order of Godâ€.
Lankarani congratulated Azerbaijani people on Tagi’s murder and commemorated his father Fazel Lankarani, who issued fatwa on Tagi’s murder.
In 2006, Ayatollah Fazel Lankarani issued fatwa on murder of Rafig Tagi because he insulted Islam in his article named “Europe and usâ€. Lankarani died in 2007. Tagi was knifed after his article “Iran and the Inevitability of Globalization†on November 18 and died at the hospital on November 23.
