"We are interested in the Council development, the foundation of which was laid in Nakhchivan in 2009," the President announced at the Summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States in Almaty.
According to him, the Council Secretariat should work out the issue of signing the necessary agreements by Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.
"The Summit will strengthen joint actions on formation of the Council status. There were established the documents, which are the legal basis for the Council development. The Parliamentary Assembly of the Turkic Speaking States and the Council of Elders, which were set up at my suggestion, make great contribution to its work," N.Nazarbayev said.
The Kazakh President noted that "the Turkic Academy takes efforts on development of our culture, studying our common historical roots. Kazakhstan renders all-round support for implementation of fruitful work of this scientific center, which functions in Astana."
