Kazakhstan hosts summit of Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking Countries

Baku. Viktoria Dementyeva – APA. Almaty is hosting the summit of the Cooperation Council of the Turkic-Speaking Countries. APA reports that President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, President of Kyrgyzstan Roza Otunbayeva and Deputy Prime Minister of Turkey Bekir Bozdag are attending the summit. (Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan cancelled his visit to Kazakhstan due to the recent terrorist attacks).

TURKSOY Secretary-General Dusen Kaseinov and Secretary-General of the Turkic-Speaking Countries’ Parliamentary Assembly Ramil Hasanov have been invited to the summit.

Making a keynote speech at the summit President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev said the summit is dedicated to the economic cooperation among the countries.
“Our moral unity must be the basis of the efficient economic cooperation,” he said.

Nazarbayev offered condolences to the Turkish people over the deadly terrorist attacks.

The main topics of discussions will be the priorities of economic, commercial, cultural, humanitarian cooperation and urgent regional and international problems. Almaty Declaration will be adopted at the end of the summit.
