Nursultan Nazarbayev: Azerbaijan is the key economic and strategic partner of Kazakhstan in the Caucasus

Nazarbayev said Azerbaijan marked the 20th anniversary of its independence with great political and economic achievements.
â€œI think that our countries passed through the period of independence with dignity. These years can be considered the realization of the independence desires of our ancestors,â€ he said.

The presidents underlined that Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan are friendly and fraternal countries. Touching on the mutual trade relations, the presidents said though the trade turnover increased by 60%, they are not satisfied with the volume of trade. The projects in the spheres of transport, agriculture and mutual trade will increase the trade turnover in the future.
