Foreign ministries of Azerbaijan and Ecuador sign protocol on cooperation

APA reports that Azerbaijanâ€™s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov said at the briefing after meeting with Minister for Foreign Affairs, Trade and Integration of Ecuador Ricardo Armando PatiÃ±o Aroca.

Elmar Mammadyarov said they discussed cooperation in energy, investment and other spheres. Elmar Mammadyarov informed the guest about the process of the negotiations on the resolution of Nagorno Karabakh conflict. The ministers decided to hold a number of events in the humanitarian sphere, strengthen interparliamentary relations.

Elmar Mammadyarov said the interest of the Latin American countries in Azerbaijan increases.
â€œAzerbaijan is also interested in this country. Azerbaijan will soon open embassy in Brazil,â€ he said.

Ricardo Armando PatiÃ±o Aroca said there are many similarities between Azerbaijan and Ecuador.
â€œI am sure that my first visit to Azerbaijan will strengthen the relations between the two countries,â€ he said.

Ricardo Armando PatiÃ±o Aroca said he invited Elmar Mammadyarov to Ecuador.
â€œEcuador is interested in cooperating with Azerbaijan. Our country is famous for cacao, rose and banana. We can establish relations with Azerbaijan in this sphere. Azerbaijan is an interesting country for Ecuador in terms of investment projects and cooperation in the area of construction,â€ he said.
