The presentation ceremony organized by the news agency Vestnik Kavkaza and Caucasian Strategic Research Institute was hosted by the Russian State Humanitarian University (RSHU). Rector of RSHU Efim Pivovar, political scientists Alexei Vlasov, Grigory Trofimchuk, member of Azerbaijani parliament Rasim Musabeyov, representative of the Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan Farhad Mammadov, pro-rector of the Azerbaijan’s Caucasus Institute Rovshan Ibrahimov, representatives of the Azerbaijani embassy in Moscow and students and professors of RSHU attended the ceremony.

The book written by Director of the Caucasian Strategic Research Institute Eldar Ismayilov and editor-in-chief of the scientific publication Caucasus and Globalization Nazim Muzaffarli was published in Azerbaijani, Russian and English. It was dedicated to the new aspect of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict – analysis of the issues of physical infrastructure and institutional reconstruction in the post-conflict period. It is based on the basis of the World Bank research of post-conflict reconstruction work in the world’s different regions. The book highlights the conceptual issues related to the restoration of infrastructure, providing normal living conditions and creat8ing jobs in the post-conflict areas of Azerbaijan.

Eldar Ismayilov said the book was also presented in London, Washington DC and Brussels. Nazim Muzaffarli noted that the book was written not by the political scientists, but by the economists. It shows the ways of restoration of the post-conflict infrastructure, but not ways of solution to the Nagorno Karabakh conflict.

Director of the Central Asia and Caucasus Institute at John Hopkins University, Professor Frederic Starr wished the politicians to solve the Nagorno Karabakh problem soon. “The book can be a good resource for the diplomats. It is important for both Azerbaijan and Armenia”.

Rasim Musabeyov, Farhad Mammadov, Grigory Trofimchuk and Russian political scientist Stanislav Chernyavsky also delivered speeches at the ceremony.
