Seyavush Novruzov: Armenian leadership hindered the activity of the Parliamentary Initiative Group of the South Caucasus

Baku. Kamala Guliyeva â€“ APA. â€œThe Armenians living in Nagorno Karabakh are also the citizens of Azerbaijan. We must state that their rights will be protected, if they live in the territory of Azerbaijan,â€ deputy executive secretary of New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) Seyavush Novruzov said, APA reports.

He said several meetings had been held with the representatives of the Armenian community living in Nagorno Karabakh.
â€œIt is important to take this step. The people must be explained that they are citizens of Azerbaijan. You will enjoy all rights of Azerbaijanis, while you live in Nagorno Karabakh,â€ he said.

Novruzov said Armenians are ready for such meetings.
â€œOnce there was Parliamentary Initiative Group of the South Caucasus, Armenia was also represented there. Ten parliamentarians and representatives of various parties represented Armenia. After the meetings we saw that they believe in what we say more and more. Having understood this Armenian leadership hindered the groupâ€™s activity. When you explain these people what expects them in future, they believe this reality,â€ he said.
