Azerbaijan and Argentina hold political consultations

Press service of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry told APA that the Azerbaijani delegation was led by Deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov, the Argentinean delegation â€“ by Argentinean Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Ms Norma Nascimbene De Dumont.

Underlining the existence of wide potential for development of bilateral relations, the sides noted that they were interested in extending relations in various spheres, especially political, commercial, economical, humanitarian spheres. Noting the role of exchange of high level visits in the development of relations, they exchanged view on regional and international issues which attained mutual interest.

Deputy Minister Khalafov informed the Argentinean side on Nagorno Karabakh conflict and its settlement. Khalafov underlined that Azerbaijan attached importance to relations with Argentina and the importance of deepening of the current relations and said that inter-parliamentarian relations played an important role in the development of bilateral relations.

In her turn, Ms Norma Nascimbene De Dumont underlined that Argentina highly assessed Azerbaijanâ€™s current potential and implemented projects and noted the interest of her country in comprehensive development of relations with Azerbaijan.

At the same time, the sides underlined importance of continuation of corresponding activity towards extension of agreement legal basis between the two countries.
