The presentation of the book ’Irevan Khanateâ€™ in Romanian language, held in Romania

According to him, the event was attended by the staff of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Romania, representatives of the Azerbaijani-Romania Friendship Society, Romania-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce and Industry , the staff representative of SOCAR in Romania, representatives of the Romanian non-governmental organizations and foundations, famous art, science, religion representatives, journalists, diplomats accredited to Romania embassies, the leaders of the Turkish and Tatar community, Azerbaijani students who study in Romania, representatives of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora of Azerbaijan Republic.

Delivering a keynote speech at the opening of the ceremony the head of Romanian representation of Heydar Aliyev spoke about the importance of this book. â€œThis book reflects information about the administrative structure, socio-economic life of Irevan khanate, heroic struggle of Azerbaijan against the foreign invaders in the 19th century, a powerful resistance against Russian Empire, submitted documents and facts about mass resettlement of Armenians from Iran and the Ottoman Empire in the occupied Irevan khanateâ€, - he said.

Azerbaijani ambassador to Romania Eldar Hasanov delievering speech at the ceremony said this book deals with one of the Azerbaijani states formed after the collapse of the Afshar Empire - Irevan khanate.

Chairperson of Bucharest Writers Association Horia Garbea said that the information contained in this book is based on reliable sources. According to him, the Romanian readers in their own language will be able to obtain extensive information about the history and culture of Azerbaijan.

Director of the journal â€œGeoPoliticaâ€, the head of the publishing house â€œTop Formâ€ where the book was published, Simileanu Vasile said his co-operation with the Azerbaijani authors adopted a traditional character, this book will bring the truth about our country academics and the general public and Romania can serve as a visual aid for in-depth study of the history of the South Caucasus.

Simileanu thanked to the President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Goodwill Ambassador of UNESCO and ISESCO First Lady of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva for the realization such humanitarian work.
