Azerbaijani FM receives UNESCO Assistant Director General Janis Karklins

Baku - APA. Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov received the delegation led by UNESCO Assistant Director General Janis Karklins, who is on a visit to Azerbaijan in order to participate at the International Humanitarian Forum.
Press service of the Foreign Ministry told APA that they exchanged view on cooperation between Azerbaijan and UNESCO and expressed satisfaction with the level of relations.
Minister Mammadyarov underlined UNESCO’s role in the development of science and culture in the world and informed that it was an institute which had enough mandate in this sphere. They underlined that Baku-host International Humanitarian Forum would play an important role in responding the challenges faced by science and culture.
