Fall session of OSCE Parliamentary Assembly starts in Croatia

APA reports that the main theme of discussion is Regional Development in South-East Europe: Challenges, Opportunities and Prospects. OSCE PA President Petros Efthymiou will make a keynote speech at the session.

In the first session OSCE PA members will discuss efficient management, struggle against corruption, refugees and internally displaced persons, human trafficking in Serbia, Macedonia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In the second session the parliamentarians will discuss economic cooperation among the countries of the South-East Europe. A special presentation on â€œThe Role of the OSCE in Conflict Resolution: Nagorno-Karabakhâ€ will be moderated by the newly appointed Special Representative on the South Caucasus Joao Soares. OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs Robert Bradtke, Bernard Fassier and Igor Popov will also attend the discussions. The co-chairs and Personal Representative of OSCE Chairman-in-Office Andrzej Kasprzyk will make reports, discussions will be held concerning the issue.

The session will end on October 10. The delegation led by vice-speaker of the parliament Bahar Muradova is representing Azerbaijan at the session.
