Azerbaijanâ€™s parliamentary delegation to attend NATO PAâ€™s 57th session

Baku. Rashad Suleymanov â€“ APA. A group of Azerbaijani parliamentarians will attend the 57th session of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly in Bucharest, Romania, on October 6-10, 2011, press service of the Azerbaijani parliament told APA.

Vice speaker of the parliament, head of the Azerbaijani delegation to NATO PA Ziyafat Asgarov, MPs Siyavush Novruzov, Malahat Ibrahimgizi, Tahir Suleymanov and Gudrat Hasanguliyev will leave for Bucharest on October 6.

The committee meetings to be held within the framework of the session will focus on the problems of cyber security and biological and chemical threats. Financial problems, economic crisis and financial sustainability in Europe will also be discussed at the session. NATO PAâ€™s relevant committee will highlight the issues related to the support of Libyan people, political transformation in the Middle East and North Africa, as well as situation in Afghanistan.

President of NATO PA Karl Lamers, NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen, as well as President of Romania Traian Basescu, chairpersons of Romanian Senate and Chamber of Deputies will address the session.
