BAXCP addresses our compatriots and other peoples in Iran

â€œOn these holy days of Ramadan we address You, concerning the occupation of the Azerbaijani lands, the occupation, which turned more than one million Muslim men and women into refugees and internally displaced personsâ€, the letter reads.

In its address, BAXCP reminded that 20 percent of Azerbaijani lands are under the occupation more than 20 years. The mosques, places of pilgrimage, shrines, houses and historic monuments were destroyed and insulted by the aggressors. More than 30 000 Azerbaijani people became martyrs in the battles for the liberation of these lands. The talks held over 20 years for liberation of the occupied Azerbaijani lands donâ€™t give any result, which would end oppression and injustice and allow the Muslim Azerbaijanis to return to their homeland. Unfortunately, Iran is among the countries, which support Armenia and extend economic, trade, military, political and cultural relations with this aggressor country, said BAXCP and added: â€œIranâ€™s ruling regime, which violates your rights, is a supporter of Armenia and its aggressionâ€.

Today, democratic struggle for freedom and welfare of the people in Iran is persecuted by the Iranian authorities, who use holy Islamic values for their own interests, said BAXCP. â€œWe, Azerbaijani Muslims, are ready to support your struggle against the tyranny and oppression. We also ask you to support our fair case and to make your authorities to understand that they have to stop their support to Armenian aggressors.

On these holy days of Ramadan, we call you to show solidarity with the Azerbaijani Muslims and to assist the justice to be restoredâ€, the letter reads.
